Since I am vain and don't have an agent, I've decided that I should start thinking about making a personal actor website. I'm hoping that I can come up with something wonderful and classy myself with simple html so I don't have to pay someone else to do it for me, though I have had an offer to help do one for free. I'm hoping I can get some new headshots soon. I don't want to get a website up and running until I do; and headshots are amazingly expensive.
I'm just playing around in Paint.NET (since I don't have photoshop on my laptop) and this is what I came up with for a first draft. It definitely needs more colour and I need to look around for some better fonts. The text on each page would be displayed over the floral pattern. I am thinking I need to shrink the image a bit and make the whole thing a tiny bit more narrow... something to get more space at the bottom, I don't want to go much over 1000px tall. Suggestions on how to add some colour? My original instinct was to make a black, white and grey layout with my photos adding in the colour. Photo is by Mitch Wiles.
